Tired of Tough Beef

I love this quote, and I fully believe it:

"Anyone who imagines that bliss is normal is going to waste a lot of time running around shouting that he has been robbed.

The fact is most putts don’t drop. Most beef is tough. Most children grow up to be just people. Most successful marriages require a high degree of mutual toleration. Most jobs are more often dull than otherwise. …

Life is like an old-time rail journey—delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed.

The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride."

I could just really go for a beautiful vista right now.

I like that quote a lot too. Life is hard work. But those good moments come too! And your picture looks a lot like our beaches. Maybe you just need to come and visit us to get a beautiful vista. :)

Oh my gosh!! We are the same! I wrote almost the same blog post a couple years ago with a picture also from Highway 1! That makes me so happy because I think you're awesome and smart, so it makes me feel good about myself to think we had the same thought process. :) http://lisaandbryan.blogspot.com/2008/10/perspective.html
