Adventure!

It seems that we're destined for adventure every weekend... even the ones we plan to be a little more quiet. This weekend started out fine - we went to Sprinkles for some amazing cupcakes. Nate's favorites were Strawberry and Cinnamon/Sugar. I think I liked the Vanilla and Black/White cupcakes before I tasted the Red Velvet... afterward, nothing could compare. It was amazing. The next day (Valentine's Day) we took Nate to the airport at 4:30 am and Nate flew to Preston's wedding while Boston and I came back, worked, then went shopping. On the way to our shopping destination, Boston experienced his first fender-bender (not my fault- the guy behind me hit us after we were already stopped at the red light). That evening when we were getting ready to get Nate from the airport, I, like a terrible, horrible, no-good, very bad mother played peek-a-boo too roughly with my baby and he fell back from his sitting position and bonked his head, then proceeded to spew 3 times. I've never been so scared in my life, but I called my mom and she calmed me and told me to call my friend Jaci. I called her and she took us to the hospital and I realized just how dumb I'd been to not even have a clue where a hospital even is around here. After we went to the emergency room to check for a concussion, we were able to go get Nate from the airport, right on time. Then yesterday on his way home from work, Nate ran out of gas on the 101 and called me to say he had no idea where he was except that he had ocean on both sides of him. Fortunately a nice cop saved his life, just as Jaci had saved mine on Saturday. Not our favorite few days, but it made us realize how lucky we are to have wonderful people around to save our sorry booties. Next week we'll plan an adventure so that we'll hopefully have more of a say in exactly what it is :)

Hahaha! That's hilarious. I'm glad you didn't die. And you aren't a bad mom. I've accidentally bonked Kennedy's head before. I'm so glad you liked Sprinkles! And I wasn't kidding about those red velvet ones. I'm not exaggerating when I say that I've had dreams about them. I crave them frequently.

That was the best adventure I have ever read. I was laughing no joke the entire time. A couple of facts we learned.
1. Look what happens when Nate goes out of town. (the kid knows how to father) JK
2. Fill up your car with gas nate. (geese did you even serve a mission).
Good to see ya bro, and Kim and Boston we missed ya.
