His latest development: he's been almost laughing when he's awake. He always laughs in his sleep, and if you're not looking at him while he does it, you'll think he's repeatedly gasping for air because that's what it sounds like. Currently the list of things he thinks are funny enough to almost laugh at are: 1) when I open my mouth really wide, 2) when Nate speaks to him in Spanish, and 3) when I make farting noises with my mouth (though when Nate makes the real ones he doesn't think it's funny). I really shouldn't encourage the third (I mean really - teaching him potty humor so early?), but I'm desperate to get a laugh out of him so I don't care. If anyone has any good tricks, I'd love to hear them. Getting him to laugh has become my obsession...

Believe me, it's ours too. She was laughing last night, which was great. When you get a chance, go to my blog to see her laugh!
I wish I could be around to hear your cute boy laugh. :) I'm sure you'll have no problem getting him to laugh if you just keep doing what you're doing.
By the way, did you know you can have your blog comments emailed to your inbox?
I love it Kim that you resort to fart noises to make him laugh. Who are we kidding, the sounds that action can make are just plain funny!!
